Asset Doc Wizard

Release

We’ve released Asset Doc Wizard — a free Unity tool for Asset Store publishers who want to ship local HTML documentation and make it easy for users to access. Instead of displaying an HTML file as plain text, Unity can now provide a dedicated entry point that opens the documentation in the user’s default web browser.

The visual wizard lets publishers create a polished documentation hub that matches their asset’s branding. Its logo, title, version, description, and footer can all be customized, while configurable buttons provide quick access to websites, support, video tutorials, communities, changelogs, and other useful resources.

Asset Doc Wizard also includes custom actions, transferable project settings, and a smart rating flow. Positive feedback can direct users to the Unity Asset Store review page, while lower ratings can guide them toward support.

For multi-page HTML documentation packaged as a single portable file, Asset Doc Wizard works naturally with One File Docs.

Key features:

  • Open local HTML documentation in an external browser.
  • Add a polished documentation entry point to a Unity project.
  • Match the hub to the asset’s branding.
  • Link to support, tutorials, communities, changelogs, and other resources.
  • Configure buttons and custom actions.
  • Guide ratings and support requests through a smart feedback flow.
