Online Maps v5.2

Release

This update focuses primarily on performance optimization, with the biggest improvements made to vector tiles. Data processing and rendering have been optimized to reduce CPU load, improve responsiveness, and provide smoother map interaction, especially in projects that use large numbers of vector tiles.

Additional internal optimizations also improve overall runtime performance and help reduce unnecessary processing during map updates.

If your project makes heavy use of vector tiles, Online Maps v5.2 should provide a noticeably smoother experience.

Changelog:

[New] Added a shader that clips drawing elements to map boundaries in Built-in RP and URP.

[Elevations] Added optional bicubic interpolation for elevation data.

[Examples] Fixed URP material creation in Vector Tile Monsters Example.

[Examples] Preserved specialized shaders when converting example materials between Built-in RP and URP.

[Inspector] Added collapsible layers and a Collapse All button in Layer Settings.

[Performance] Improved frame scheduling, fixed memory cache eviction, and released unused vector meshes and materials.

[Threading] Fixed per-map background task ownership and cancellation to prevent stale callbacks and interference between maps.

[UI Controls] Fixed HitTest in UI Image and Raw Image Controls when another UI element overlaps the map.

[Vector Tiles] Improved decoded tile reuse, progressive rendering, and zoom transitions.

[Vector Tiles] Refactored geometry, building, and label preparation and publication.

[Vector Tiles] Show missing Mapbox and MapTiler API key warnings only once per session.
