One File Docs

Interactive single-file multi-page documentation

One File Docs is a web-based documentation platform that turns structured, multi-page documentation into a single self-contained HTML file. The exported document includes its content, navigation, styles, scripts, and embedded images, so it can be opened directly in a browser, shared with users, attached to a release, or hosted on any static website.

Users can create documentation from scratch or import Word, PDF, and Markdown files. Documents are organized into a flexible tree of sections and can include rich-text pages, C# API references, dynamic content, links, and shared sections from other documents. Markdown documentation can also be imported from a public GitHub repository and synchronized through the API.

The built-in editor supports rich text, tables, code blocks, images, media, internal links, custom CSS and JavaScript, document variables, multiple languages, search, and configurable navigation. Appearance settings make it possible to customize the header, content area, logo, favicon, colors, metadata, table of contents, and other viewer elements.

Every export remains an interactive multi-page document while being delivered as one portable HTML file. Built-in content and viewer functionality work without the One File Docs server and can be used offline. External resources, such as remote scripts, fonts, videos, or analytics, still require an internet connection.

One File Docs is designed for product documentation, user manuals, technical guides, API references, release packages, and other documentation that needs to be easy to distribute, publish, and preserve.
